Types of Websites

Websites come in many forms - Getting a website that is best suited to your needs and future requirements is an important part of the web development process. Here are the types of websites we can provide:

Business Card Webpage

A business card website is a one page website containing your basic information such as name, phone number, fax number, address, email, and information about you or your company or both.

You can choose a business card website if you don’t want to invest that much in a website right now but you want to “reserve” a spot for your name, on the internet, for future development.

The sooner you establish your internet presence the better!

Multi-Page Joomla CMS Website

A Joomla CMS website allows you to easily add, edit, and delete web pages using any web browser.

WebMate's customers want to easily manage their website (e.g. add, edit, update, delete) text, images and pages. With the Joomla content management system (CMS), WebMate is able to provide a solution for these clients to easily achieve their goals.

A website CMS is a computer system used to manage and control a large or small, dynamic collection of web material (HTML documents and their associated images). CMS facilitates document control, auditing, editing and management. The beauty of a CMS is that it does not require the CMS user to be an HTML expert. Furthermore, it allows the CMS user to easily update web pages using a simple web browser interface.

Blog

Though most of the internet users know what a blog is, here is complete definition from Wikipedia:

A blog (a contraction of the term weblog) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, one which consists of blogs with very short posts. As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs. With the advent of video blogging, the word blog has taken on an even looser meaning — that of any bit of media wherein the subject expresses his opinion or simply talks about something.
